Interestingly, ING rang me about two motnhs agao to do some research about customer response to such an offer.

They gave me a number of scenarios such as 8 percent for a longer period - I'm sure the 6% offer was the most miserly and I said I probably wouldnt bother for such a small increase for such a small period.

3 Letters have arrived about this today too.

Can anyone still see the offer page on their account.
I saw it twice (yesterday and this morning) and the internal detailed page was useful. I went just now to save this page for reference and I cannot get to it anymore. Its link on top of the account summary has disappeared!

Has anyone saved it or can tell me how to access the terms again?

Indeed - that's why I showed my working. For those that want a quick answer:

    1/8/6 - 15/5/6 = 78 days.
    For each £1000:
Assumption: You get your skates on and start today.
Assumption: 4 days transfer penalty (From Cahoot to ING)
Assumption: Basic rate (20%) tax payer
    Assumption: Compounding ignored.

From http://cahoot.com/cahoot_products/cahoot_savings/savings_account.html interest accrues at 4.46% gross, (4.55% AER):

    74 days at 4.46% gross PA = 74/365*4.46%*£1000*80% = £7.23

A difference of £1.69 per £1000 moved - If that were the case for me, I'd be more likely to move the money (£42.25 over the period) but I'm not with Cahoot :)

Thanks ..so I'll leave my money in ICICI then

Mmm. strange... as I posted above, I couldn't access the offer page, or even my accounts, yesterday... now I CAN get into my account, but as you say the info on the offer has disappeared!?

When I saw it, it was immediate. There was a big intro as soon as you logged in and then a detailed page linked on top of your account summary.
All gone now. And I am puzzled to why!

Whezee said she received 3 letters on this. I did not receive any.
I can't understand what is going on. Also I would have expected that they put a press release on this. This behaviour is very strange.
I don't expect ing to retract from its offer, but I wanted to have something confirming it in written! If anyone saved the page, please contact me.

Just logged into ING and the offer comes up straight away
    so it`s still there.
Are you sure you`re not somehow blocking it with anti pop-ups?

no, i tried once again (it is the 5th time!) and nothing. I also tried with two browsers. I am sure I saw it twice yesterday and this morning. So I know what and where to expect it. Just seems not to be there anymore.

It seems to have disappeared after I made a deposit (which was aimed at this offer!).

Alared, could you save the Terms page of the offer (the one that appears when you press 'skip intro')? I would appreciate it.

I am also one of those hundreds perhaps thousands who have an ING direct savings but have left even before they reduced their rates. Mine also is with ICICI.I still have the account open with a few quids in. I would sit for a while and observe what other players in the market do especially that it's been forecasted that BOE are likely to increase base rates.
