I currently have Vista on my laptop. I have installed Sun xVM VirtualBox, and then installed XP. When I click start on VirtualBox, XP starts up and runs fine.
Now I am trinh istall a CD which is not compatable on Vista. When I insert the CD, it automatically opens on Vista. When I click on My Computer, CD Drive on XP. Its says "No CD in the drive".
XP also cannot detect any memory card or usb drive.
Any idea how can I solve this?
Thanks
MS

In the Virtual box configuration tou need to go into the setup for the XP machine and under CD/DVD mount your real CD drive letter.
As for the USB, have you installed the VboxGuestAdditions0 -
For USB you need the guest additions installed and you need to configure the VM (when it is not running) with USB filters to say which of the host USB devices it should be given access to.0

Thanks CD drive worked.
Also XP has smaller screen in the middle. Is there anyway to inlarge the screen as a full size of the monitor?

VirtualBox cannot work in fullscreen mode on the host machine, however it can resize the guest OS desktop to match the size of the host OS window - to do this you need to install the guest additions. Did you do this?0 -
No - how do I install the guest additions?0

Thanks - VboxGuestAdditions now installed - I can now use the XP in the full screen mode.0
