help with freecycle

hi i have joined 2 groups near me and been accepted but i dont know how to use the site ?? how do i search for items ect...cant seem to figure it out...:rolleyes:

You can either go to the freecycle site inside yahoo (where you joined up - sign in and look for MY GROUPS) or wait till you start getting emails. Look in the subject heading - usually a good description in there.

It depends whether you have signed up to receive individual emails or to receive the daily digest. I think the daily digest is a single email you will receive with everything that has been posted that day and the individual email option means you will receive every single email whenever it is posted.

You should start to receive emails with either OFFERED, WANTED or COLLECTED/TAKEN. Offered is when people have stuff to give and if you are interested you simply reply to the email stating your interest. The person will then usually pick someone, and if you are the lucky one, they will email you and organise collection.

Collected/Taken postings indicate when an item has been collected, so is no longer available. Wanted's are when people are asking for specific items.
