Cheapest email provider (via Outlook Express)

Hi

I am just changing to BT business ADSL (paid for by my employer) so don't want to keep my existing NTL Broadband. However, I don't get any personal email addresses with the service & I need a couple of new email addresses and a service that means I can read them (and newsgroups) via Outlook express.
I see that Hotmail allows for Outlook use for £14.99 a year but I was wondering if there are other providers I can use. Some sites don't like you to register with hotmail so I use it only occasionally.
The alternative would be to register a domain and have many email addresses under there (my hubby has a company with no domain email address yet so that would kill two birds with one stone) with the same requirement of reading via outlook

Any help appreciated

J

As quincy says both gmail (googlemail) and Yahoo allow access through Outlook Express. If you PM me your actual email address I will send you a gmail invite. Personally I have done away with Outlook Express and just use the gmail/yahoo interfaces

As suggested, you don't need to pay for that service. Just look for an account which offers POP3 support.

If we buy a domain name (in my hubbies Co name) and get 4 "user names" thrown in can we filter our Outlook express to show only a subset of the mail to the names - ie I will have two of the name and my hubby the other two. I will only want to see my mail and not his. I know we can do that with say NTL mail but not sure if the domain name is the same for both email accounts.

    Thanks
