Another bonus with honey or fruit jellies is that they can be UK produced, always a plus point for me. Maple syrup has come a long way.

I think the maple flavoured golden syrup is made by Tate and Lyle-it comes in a bottle like the "pouring" golden syrup.

I've seen American recipes for a maple flavoured pancake syrup which uses maple flavouring but can't find that anywhere in this country-I even tried Whole Food Markets in London. DD1 is over there on her honeymoon and has promised to look out for some for me but if anyone can tell me if I can get it in this country I'd love to know.
