having been harassed all day by calls from fredrickson i snapped and sorry to saw was quite harsh with the caller a few minutes ago....i asked him how come even though i have sent numerous letters saying this debt is unenforcable and has been for over 8 months now did they still harass me?

i said also how come you calling when i sent numerous letters saying to put all communication in writing

he turned round and said;

WE TAKE NO NOTICE OF THAT BUT IF YOU SAY REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM YOUR DATABASE WE HAVE TO DO THAT

so - if a creditor is harassing you even though youve asked them not to via phone try the above.....

If you have sent them a letter stating you do not wish to be contacted by phone but only communicate in writing and sent it signed for then you can contact the financial ombudsman for starters and lodge an official complaint... If you tell them over the phone then unless you record the conversation (and state at the beginning that you are recording it) then you have no evidence you told them to remove your number from their records...

As above, in writing should be accepted, as unlike a verbal communication you start to leave a paper trail that can be followed if needed.

yes i know all that but, youre not reading the post right

the guy said they ignore that and take notice if you ask them to take your phone number off their database....

i know all the rules and that but, this firm was taking the pee even though id sent letters signed to tell them not to contact me via phone - i know i could report them....the point of the post is to enlighten people incase it happens to them....give them a thumbs up
