Hi guys, congrats to everyone on getting to the end and to all those who took part along the way. I have enjoyed this challenge along the way and plan to do it for 4k next year instead of 4.5k as i realise i spend far less than i thought i did!
Skint chick, well done on paying so much off your debt.
I will be in for next year, although am undecided how i will record everything as i am doing my 101 list and life list too and was currently doing them thanks to having saved money on the 4k challenge. I will give it some thought.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Thanks ceredwen for the info. A family membr is having problems with IBS and milk is one of the things causing her to flare up.
I found another link http://www.kefir.net/
http://www.ricerafoods.com/index.html
Rice milk yogurt
I also found a site with info to make your own yogurt with co!!!! milk although the writer said it can be made with any kind of milk.

Well, we're into our last day....... and according to my spreadsheet I have £105.52 to spend
One of my first jobs when I get up (about to turn in, so hopefully I'll not be too late up) is to go and fill the car fuel tank - so that will probably take the best part of half the remaining moneyCheryl0 -
Hi Grandma - I'd recommend your family member try goat or sheep's milk products as according to medical advice I was given regarding allergies (I have some proper backup somewhere in the house), they are, generally speaking, better tolerated than cows' milk products. Also - you can easily get scrumptious cheeses and yoghurts in supermarkets
Hope this helps0 -

Unfortunately she can't stand the stuff and soya is out of the question too because of other problems it causes.0 -

SF - Do not worry about only being £20 over your target, you have still done soooooooo.... well to live on even close to £3000!!!! Think how many other people of our age could do that? .... I know I'm impressed!
SFT - What a lovely post. Three cheers for those three incredible women! And of course, everyone else on here is fabulous and awesome as well:A

WOAH! I'M GOING TO SRI LANKA!!!!! LALALALALA
I know it's always heartening to have your knowledge & abilities recognised, but fully understand your predicament too Blair. A family member was in a very similar position & questioned just how they could prove they were doing the job if the relevant qualifications were not signed off against their nameRed tape gone SIZE=1]even-more-than-usual-if-that-can-be-possible[/SIZEmad IMO
There's plenty of people who are older but a lot less money-savvie than yourself & SF so you are rightly proud to shout your achievements from the roof tops :j I'm still giving out the addie for this site in the vain hope it will reach into the concious of those I'm hoping to enlighten
I like the way SFT thinks :T & also want to add my thanks for all the peeps who take the time to post on this thread. I'm still a first grader when it comes to the os/ms skills a lot of you have adopted but you make learning at the knee of a master so enjoyable that I can't help but come back for moreIt's a bit like that old tv programme 'House Party'-- must have been on around the early eighties when the Offspring were bubbies...
And am I the only one who started singing We're Going to Barbados & substituting Sri Lanka? Now I'm going to be singing that ALL day :wall: thanks
