Petrol dilema solved - I hope.......

Elder DS phoned (from the pub!) to ask if I'd run him and a couple of mates to their next port of call - a 9.2 mile round trip. He's accepted I don't like driving at the moment (due to the weather), so I got bribed with a tenner for doing so :rolleyes2

The route took me past a small filling station - not the cheapest (108.9/litre rather than the 104.9/litre I'd pay at Mr T), but it was open...... and (more importantly) being en-route means no offsetting saving on fuel against costs of getting to the filling station (which is what makes a small 'keep me going' visit pretty worthless). So I put £5 of fuel in, and hopefully the 4.5/litres should give me an extra 30 miles or so - so that's 20 miles after I deduct the unplanned mileage tonight. Means I should now be able to stay mobile until NYE, when I'll make the trip to Mr T to fill the tank :T

I have no doubt I'll be on-line tomorrow, but as many won't I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a

Well Done on the petrol :T Adult children can have some uses, like collecting the bits from the supermarket & doing the dishes :rotfl:

I had to get up for Pup so am taking advantage of the peace & relative calm. Veg is all ready to go as I did that while the lamb cooked last night. It looks like I'm on the squash this year as I'm designated taxi driver, but that doesn't bother me too much. I've some special tipples I've been given in the cupboard, going back 10 years or more :p so another two or three days won't hurt.
Plan was to collect the flowers & spend nowt else, but I 'popped in' to MrScoOp to see if they had any value bread........3 packs of 6 rolls @ 12p ea, Cath City cheddar on BOGOF & another pack of ham later :o
I hope :santa2: has been kind to you all & the Littlies don't wake you too early :D Have A Most Excellent Day my Friends & Seasons Blessings on You All.

Happy Christmas to each and every one of you, from each and every one of us. Love and hugs to you all.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
