Patches to mend kids clothes - where to get ?
Comments
-
Hi,
Can anybody suggest anywhere I could get iron on - or stitch on applique badges ( star shaped ).
The are to mend a little boys trousers who is fascinated with stars !
I've googled to within an inch of my life but still can't find anything 'kiddy' enough. I've found nautical star patches but thats not really what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Have you tried H&M? I've bought quite a few different patches from there to mend my kids' jeans, haven't bought any star ones myself but if you have one nearby it might be worth a try?0

H&M - cool - never even thought. Are they in the kiddies section ? Thanks0

Yes, they are with the kids accessories. I was quite suprised to find them there myself, most high street stores would rather you bought more new stuff rather than patched your old, but I suppose they are for "customising" your clothes.0

you could make your own? a square of background material and a different colour for hte star?family of six - grocery challenge - £480 monthly0

thought of making my own - but I thought the material might frey if it's not got a bound edge, especially for a star. Might have a try though. Wish he was fascinated with the sun ! - would be sooooo much easier !!!!0

Quite a few on Ebay... http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=star+patch+-stripes+-usa&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&LH_PrefLoc=1&_odkw=star+patch&_osacat=0TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Thanks everybody - lots of new places and ideas for me to follow up !0

Not sure if I am posting this on the correct forum, so apologises if I am.
My 4 year old has gone through the knees on 2 pairs of jeans and I am looking for some patches to sew onto them. Does anyone know of any websites/shops that I can try (as I don't fancy trailing round the shops with a bored child).
Have already done a quick search on ebay etc but everything seems so expensive!!MFW - currently at £23,610 (Aug 2014) MFD 20200
