The Bath Blobs are Driving Me Mad! Please Help!

For months I have been trying every potion, scrubber and brush I can find to remove some marks in my modern, plastic bath. I think the marks are oil from aromatherapy bath oils and the blobs seem to have eaten into the plastic.
I now have a daily battle of wills with 'the bath blobs' trying out the latest potential remover, but nothing so much as fades them, let alone removes them. I have just had to stop myself from attacking them with sandpaper (which didn't work either) as all it was doing was scratching the plastic.
Any suggestions to remove the blobs and save my sanity would be very welcome.

If it is a white bath - could you try bleach?"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Actually it's a cream colour but I have already tried just about every bleach on the market to no effect. If there is a bleach around that would take the colour out of them that would do just as well as removing them - but I haven't found it yet!
Many thanks for the reply anyway!0 -
Have you tried one of those magic eraser things? I used one on some black oily stains on our PVC window frames and they came up really nice.

Now that sounds interesting! Magic Eraser? Please tell me more, what does it look like? Where do I get one?
Many thanks!0 -
I think lakeland do them and they may work - Cillit bang is also good but eats metal of sink plugholes etc so no prolonged use - also not very o/s really - have you tried a paste of washing powder left on for a while?Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

Will try to procure a magic eraser and will try the washing powder paste this evening. Sadly Cillit Bang didn't work and we have the tarnished plughole to prove it!
That was going to be my next question - what do you do about tarnished plugholes other than buy a new sink/bath!
Many thanks, much appreciated.0 -

Thanks everso - that's great - will look out for them next time we're in Asda.

Lostplot, can you let us know how you get on if anything works, as have same problem here. Nothing I have tried has worked as yet.0

Have you tried T-Cut? Our bath fitter suggested using this once a year to restore its shine. Too much like hard work for me, but it might work.Egg @ 3.9% until 1/7/06 = £1798
MBNA @ 2.9% until 1/9/06 = £5314
A & L @ 0.9% until 1/9/06 = £4743
MBNA @ 0.9% until 1/9/06 = £8768
