so on one level I have not really done very well this month - ebay and GM & amazon sales elude me in droves.

on the other hand have just successfully reclaimed £295 for my mortgage fees (cheque banked today) so that puts me well over target

I think I will just spend my efforts getting ready for November, and call a truce on October
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

£165 paid back to me from Scottish Power after I switched to NPower. Their estimates were way too high, clearly. Ha! Not strictly making money, as it was mine in the first place, but I will count it as I'm struggling this month.
  • Things have been very slow this month. I do have an Ebay sale to add tomorrow - I don't like to add the amount until after I have posted the item, that way I can work out profit after fees and postage costs. I'm also still waiting payment for 3 items which would take my total up an extra £70ish but again I wont add that until I've received the money and posted them.

Should be able to request another £10 from Consumerpulse tomorrow too - just waiting for points to be credited.

Hi everyone, very good news in the Shrimp camp this morning as my PPI reclaim has come through to the tune of :j£1334.60:j
And I have paid every penny straight off my CC, which pre-MSE would never have even crossed my mind, so a big big BIG thankyou to everyone on this site for advice, encouragement and helping my to break my bad spendy ways!

Not going to count it as it would kind of remove the 'challenge' element of the challenge this month but just wanted to say thanks to everyone:T

Do have £10 from paypal and £5 from BP to add. Have emailed Music Magpie about the money they owe me from August, they said they had sent a cheque but will cancel it and reissue - still nothing to date though. That £11.66 would make all the difference :D

  • Hi all

Well its £3.20 from Ebay for me today

OH has offered to loan me the money to pay off my CC's, saving me £60 a month almost in interest. Thought never crossed my mind he just offered, am feeling very pleased with myself for bagging sent an amazingly generous fella. Also though feeling that next month I have to work extra hard at this challenge to make sure I pay him back asap.

Also progress is coming along in my ppi claim, spoke to a very friendly chap at Bank of Scotland as a follow up to my first letter, felt it went well and he really listened. He said he hoped to have their decision with me in 4 weeks, so fingers crossed there.
