Booster jabs for teens

DS is 14 and i'm assuming that sometime soon he will need to have his jabs that we all had when we were teens, not the one just for girls, i mean the one for all the kids....

Any idea when this happens, if indeed the school still do this..

Have my letter from the Dr's here to make an appointment for my DD.
Its the Td/iPol Polio school leaver booster, which I suppose is Tetanus and Polio. She's just turned 14 and it's just come through. In our case it's done through the docs and not the school.

just had my ds2's letter too got to take him next week for his booster oh joy he is needle phobic and will put up a fight

oops mine has his appointment this afternoon i just read polio so told him he wouldnt have to have a jab when he turned a shade of green at the idea. It best be tea from the local chippy tonight to make up.

I was/am needle phobic too so ignored the letter we got sent when I was at school - obviously kicked up enough fuss to make my mum ignore it too! - so had a catch up jab when I was 19 instead (am 25 now) so it is possible if they really do duck out of it. Had my TB jab a year late too cos I panicked so much I was sent home poorly from school! :rolleyes:

the bcg is the one for tuberculosis some years they do it at school some times they don't I'm pretty sure it's a don't phase at the moment
