    Thanks Lynsey.

I think I've changed my mind about an ortho bed.

After your comments & reading other posts about the continuous spring system, I've had a look at pocket sprung mattresses - which I'd completely disregarded on my first foray into the bed world  - and they seem quite good.

So, have you heard about (I think) Dreamworld Beds?
I think they're based in Yorkshire, maybe Leeds.

The mattress I've seen is a Dreamworld Utopia and has (I've been told) 2000 pockets in the 5' size.

I've also looked at a Relyon Royal Cheltenham with 1400 pocket springs, they do this in a choice of soft, medium or firm.

    Thanks

It looks like Dreamworld are a small company based in Essex:

    Dreamworld Beds

    Chester Road Warehouse Chester Road
    Ilford
    IG3 8PS

    Tel: 020 85995699
I think the Dreamworld in Batley, Yorkshire is actually a retailer. You are on the right lines going for a smaller independent manufacturer, but try to keep the spring count between 1000 and 1800.

    Thanks Tim.

We're going back to the shop to have another lie down on the bed this morning.

I'm going to have a really good look at the label on the mattress.
I've been looking for this mattress on-line but can't find it all all.

I DID find a Millbrook Utopia which looked very like the complete bed we've seen.
That said it has 1400 springs.
If it does turn out to be a Millbrook - is this compnay a small independant?

    Regards

i've just ordered a Millbrook Jupiter 2000 mattress from sleeping solutions (with 20% cashback on quidco) more info on this thread.

from what i could find out, Millbrook are part of a bigger group, Millbrook Industries, but do still seem to be 'independant', at least not part of silentnight/sealy/rest assured, airsprung/hush/windsor bed company or steinhoff who are relyon/harveys/bensons/homestyle/sleepmasters/the bed shed.

i'm sure Tim will be along shortly to correct me if i've got any of those mixed up!
