yes, things do tend to be more expensive from these mail order companies but it is because you pay for them over either 20/40 or 52 weeks interest free depending on the item price. if you have cash upfront then yes you could get them cheaper.

yeah years ago these deals sometimes worked out cheaper.if they had say 20% off, I used to use them cos Id get my 20% off, say a £200 freezer which brought it to £180 with free delivery, then I'd pay the whole £180 and get £18 cashback (cos they used to give you 10% cashback) So it'd cost me £162. These days tho, theres a constant price war on the high strret. I mean you can get microwaves for £20 now! Don't last as long tho. One I bought my mum for £100 in 1990 only conked out last year!
