HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its Alliance Leicester or is it Santender.
I want someone to share my pain, my endless problems with Alliance Leicester. I think Alliance Leicester have something against me or I live on a different planet then them.
I have been with Alliance Leicester for 4 years and they don’t care. There customer service has gone down the hill. I been miss informed about all there products, no one seems to know what they are talking about. I complain and complain and spend time writing letters and they don’t care.
My recent issue is to do with my Alliance Leicester credit card, I went into Alliance Leicester branch in Ilford to pay off part of my balance and they said why dont you switch over to Santander Zero Credit card. I said I cant cause I get refused credit at the moment. They said its NOT a problem, we are now one group, take this form and complete it or go online and what we will do is transfer your Alliance Leicester credit card to Santander and close your old credit card, You might as well do it now.
I believed them, so I applied for a credit card and called up Alliance Leicester credit card company and they said they are not aware, also we are MBNA so its nothing to do with us.
I called Santander Abby, they said oh we will look into it and they guy was really rude on the phone as if i disturbed his coffee break.
I waited for two weeks and I got the letter I expected a refuse.
I called up Santander and they said oh nothing to do with us, you can lodge a complain and we will acknowledge it. Do you mean action it, no acknowledge it. So you will action yes we will look into it.
This is the story of my life, I been with this bank for a long time, I never missed a credit Mortgage payment, and never done anything wrong, had a few miss haps when I changed address.
Anyway.... cut story short, Alliance Leicester don’t care about me as a customer, they don’t want to help me as a bank, I said to them I will move onto another bank and I will move my mortgage as well, they seem to be more willing in helping me to move.
Alliance Leicester dont care, they want me to leave, customer service is crap and complaint response are just an excuse.
Well I wanted to let off some steam,
I am gonna now try contact Alliance Leicester and ask them why they advised me to opt for the new credit card from Santander.
Oh when I called Santander they said oh we still have not fully merged yet?
oh well Alliance Leicester :T :j:money: =

They are crapWell I moved to them a few months ago because of their £100 incentive. I was with my last bank for around 15 years and never had any problems but fancied a change. I wish I hadnt moved and just stayed put. For some reason I just dont like A & L.
I dont like there online banking, I dont like the way you have to wait 24 hours after your pay goes into your account before you can use it. Theres lots of little things that niggle at me from them. I would change to another bank but I dont know whether I want to put up with the hassle of moving direct debits and standing orders all over again.Comping again0 -
yesI despise Alliance & Leicester. Because of their policies failing to take account of individual circumstances (couldn't take my name off an in credit joint account, my very violent ex partner refused to sign off the form to seperate the account) I ended up with a default on my credit record and am currently in the process of taking them to the fiancial ombudsman. Wouldn't recomend them to anyone.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0
