Gas and electricity charity grants that help you start a fresh!!!
Options
I am an EDF Energy customer for both gas and electric and got myself into alot of arrears with 1 thing and another; moving house etc. It was a very worrying time as I couldn't afford the amount of arrears I had to pay back on top of what fuel I was already using in the new house...especially the electric as nearly everything in the house is run in this way!! Something needed to change and waiting to win the lotto just wasn't going to work!!
So I turned to our lovely Martin Lewis' website and found a link that leads you to charitable organisations who MAY help you with your fuel debt!! I applied and provided all the necessary info/proof of arrears and was awarded a staggering £1075.05 towards my EDF Energy electric account and a further £106.36 to the gas account!! I am now in credit with both fuels and I can't thank the charity enough for taking all of that horrid weight from my shoulders and allowing me to start a fresh!! I hope my story is going to help others in the same situation! Unfortunately I am not allowed to add the link on here as a new user so you'll have to search yourself. Good luck xx;)
