Waitrose £5 off £30 Spend in The Sun - 3rd October.... should be accepted by tesco?

Tesco's policy is all over the place!!

My local store wouldn't accept the £5 Lidl voucher either so I sent it to Dundee CS.
Received a £5 gift card back with a letter stating that most stores do accept but at local managers discretion.

Not sure anyone at Tesco fully understands their policy.
I think acceptance depends on who handles your query either in store OR at Dundee.

I assume that Waitrose will let you use that £5 on a Petrol spend then? My Waitrose has a standard petrol station, not a motorway service one as mentioned. Is anyone aware if i could use it on petrol please?

They exclude petrol purchases from this type of promotion via small print.

Offer does not apply online, in the coffee shop or to purchase petrol

I had a farmfoods £5 off £50 spend refused at Tesco this morning, I was told that they don't accept them anymore as they don't scan. Does anyone know if their policy has changed?

Have you used them before in your tescos?
I use them all the time but haven't done tesco shop in a few weeks so maybe they have changed policy? Where's your store out of interest?

Thanks Angbrads. I have used the coupons lots of times and had no problems, other than checks with supervisors, at this store which is a large Tesco Extra in Cardiff. Won't be able to do it again though it seems...
