wireles network card..and compaq presario help please

Options
im using m old compaq presario 2500 laptop atm. it has always connected wirelessly with a belkin wireless g notebook network card. i pulled the card out of its slot to see what version it ws to download correct drivers form the belkin websit...the problem is i now cannot get it to go back into the slot for it.

i know i broke the thing your supposed to press to get the card out years ago and have always pulled it out but i nver been unable to get it back in before.

anyone got any tips or tell me if im missing something totally obvious re putting it back in? i will nip with it into pc world tomorrow if necessary.....

thanks in advance

(and while im here will a wireless router as opposed to wired router still have the ability to connect via ethernet cable?)
