Ooh I've just been googling for this. I was on facebook, and I'm not sure what happened as my toddler took control of the keyboard... not sure if she clicked a link or an advert, but something popped up saying there were viruses on my computer and I should install the alpha anti virus. I clicked cancel, but it took me to another page and started downloading it. I closed the page down, but the pop up kept coming up and telling me to download it, and again, each time I clicked no or cancel, it started the download. It wouldn't let me do anything or navigate away from it, so I just switched off the laptop. Am now running my regular virus check to see if it did anything! Very annoying!0

There is a LOT of help for this, a quick GOOGLE for
remove alpha antivirus gives lots of hits.
to start do this
1. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
2. Navigate to the Processes tab.
3. Locate for a process called AlphaAV.exe and end it's process by click the End Process button at the bottom left hand corner of Task Manager and click Yes.
4. Continue with the instructions listed below to remove Alpha Antivirus completely.
Go here http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&!!!!!button
and download malwarebytes program.
when you have downloaded it rename the file to anyname.exe
The reason for the rename is that the alpha virus knows what names programs are that can remove it and will block it, so if you rename the program it does then not stop it from running.
Install MBAM and update it,
Then do a quick scan,
Also you can get an online scanner from superantispyware.com, that should do it as well.
here
http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html.
or downlod the free program, also you may need to rename it for the same reasons as mbam.0 -
There's also a step by step guide to getting rid of Alpha Antivirus here -
