stolen vehical

hi all i was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what i can do.
our car was hit by a stolen car which then flipped upsidedown and the driver escaped and has never been aprehended we notified our insurance of the accident and because we only had tpft they said we couldnt claim now this has been ongoing for 8 months and still we have not recieved anything for the damage caused by the car to our car. 1 i need to find out can i claim anything from anyone and 2. we have now changed insurance company and it states on our no claims bonus form that we made a claim but our ncb was not affected are they allowed to do this? or can we make them pay up as they say a claim was made as we havent recieved a cheque from them?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Hi - the people who deal with with claims against uninsured or untraced drivers which includes stolen cars are

    They are based in Milton Keynes and I would suggest you telephone them for advice on how to make your claim.If you have legal expenses cover then you should be able to ask your legal expenses insurer to make the claim for you.

    i've check the web address you gave and they have informed me that as i dont own the vehical anymore i cant claim as they may need to inspect it thanks anyway

    You could have claimed from the insurers of the vehicle that hit you if the thief was not apprehended/ identified - they would have had to deal with it as the RTA insurers.

    If you no longer have the vehicle then most insurers will not be interested as you can no longer prove your losses.

    Your own insurance should be aware of the incindent as you should tell them of all accidents, claimed for or not, but as it was neither your fault not did it result in a payout from your insurers then it should be noted as none fault

    we did notify them but they (churchill)still put our premium up thats why weve changed our insurance to another provider
