Is The BTL Dream Over?

I ask this because I guess there have been a lot of newish landlords in the last few years who might be re-assessing their earlier desire to jump into BTL.
How is it looking after tenants year after year?
Did you actually make any money?
Would you do it again?
Is it worth getting into BTL now?

A steep learning curve.
Did you actually make any money?
More than I forecast due to fall in mortgage rate.
Would you do it again?
If I found the right property at the right price then yes. All a question of doing your research and covering the risks.

It is like any other investment/ business, find the right property at the right price in an area where there is a demand from tenants and it makes sense. Buying the wrong property risks being less successful. Theoretically now should be better than in 2006-7, given lower house prices, if you can raise the finance.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
