Food not as deceived wwyd

Hi all

just been to a pub for a meal described as nachos with sour cream salsa and
halapenos. Imagine my horror when plate arrived and the "salsa" wAs in fact cold uncle bens sweet n sour sauce complete with pineapple and carrot sticks in

To my.mind that's not as described

wasn't sure what to do so fled sadly I had to pay upfront otherwise I wouldn't have paid!
Thanks
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I don't think there is anything you can do now.

You should complain at the time.

Going to hazard a guess that the op hit the "D" as opposed to the "R" Key. wwyd - What would you do?

It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
  • if its somewhere that you've been in the past that was good maybe worth emailing a complaint to try to get some vouchers or a free meal and give it another chance, otherwise just accept its a shithole that will probably close down and maybe open up under some decent management in a few months.

Ok just an update for anyone else who finds themselves in the same position.

You as consumer have the right to state that its not as described and its for the VENUE to prove to you that it is. So in the casae of the salsa - they would have the option of doing a number of things eg shwing me the chgopping board where the tomato onion and coriander was chopped to make the salsa  or showing a jar etc.

If its not "as described" you are entitled to a refund if you have paid in advance.

Advice comes from a Consumer Protection Officer in a LA.

Im going to write to them and let them know, and just so y'all know
