HD technical trial through an aerial.
The BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and five have recruited a few hundred volunteer homes for an experimental technical trial to see how HD could work on Freeview. That recruitment has now closed.

    Unfortunately I wasn't picked :(

The trial as always was in London

I doubt we get HD until analogues is turned off, our region is one of the last. My hope is on Freesat the consortium of BBC/ITV satellite equivalent of freeview. Don't confuse that with SKY freesat. It will now be next year.

Surely it is only a case of plugging in the sky box to the wall and to you HD tv but knowing SKY they will want to charge extra for fitting

I will get HD when the price comes down as I am not paying £300+ for the box when there are only about 10 HD channels

I got told that Sky are charging an extra £10 a month plsu £300 for box and theres no chance this side of World cup as they cant fullfill the orders in time so I am been told.

BBC are doing some HD on SKY there have a number of programs of late that were filmed in HD.

I dont no about others but my mate who was a TV engineer said that they gonna struggle with the extra data when the weather is bad as already it can effect picture quality in SD mode. You might in some cases have to get a better dish/lnb.
