Apologies if this has already been posted, but it may help someone.
My local library is lending out energy monitors free for a week. It is £1 fine after a week.
You can monitor your daily and then weekly electricity usage.
I live in Lancashire, but have just had a quick look and many libraries across the country are doing the same.:T
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

:TThanks very much for this! :T
I've been to my local library and have loaned an energy monitor. You take it out on loan just like your library books.
We've got it plugged in and it's a revelation! I had no idea how much the various appliances we have were using and it's a real incentive to turn stuff off .
The lady in the library said that so far, people either love them or hate them.£2 savers challenge:dance:£152/£200:naughty:Still trying to pay off my CC£3,800/£4,343 paid off0 -
