I don't think you get the same protection paying via PayPal as you do buying direct with your credit card.

    analouge odometer rather than digital?

the little signs like wear on steering wheel/pedals/seats etc will usually indicate high mileage vehicles

dont forget tho some of the older cars reset back to zero once they hit 99,999 miles on an anlaouge odometer

It would all depend how the vehicle was advertised, none of us, except you, know that.

Digital odometer and everthing on the car looks fine bodywork is immaculate carpets unworn a little wear on seats, nothing out of place, vehicle had no service history, so i suppose it'e my own fault
  • if its a digital odometer it has deliberately been altered, that is fraudulent, although i dont think it is illegal to alter your own mileage, it is illegal to alter it to misrepresent it when selling

  • Paypal chargeback - item not as described?

Did you not view the car first or agree to pay on collection?
  • you are assuming the person who sold it to you knows it was clocked

Look up the old mot history on line, you can find out when it was mot'd and what the mileage was, and you know when he owned it, so it may well of been done before he owned it

I cant see the credit card company entertaining a refund on a second hand motor
