Makeover Runner-up Prize....Help Needed!

Just had a voicemail from Moments Preserved in Stockridge telling me I have won a makeover/photoshoot as a runner up prize from informed women, I can't find the post so I don't know who to thank, please help!

Hi Beth,

I'm sorry to be a killjoy and I really hope I am wrong but I am wondering if this is spam. I received a voicemail saying that I had won a runners up prize too but I definitely didn't enter a competiton for a makeover as it isn't my kind of thing at all.

I really hope I am wrong and that it is a great prize - if so congratulations!

Oh really?! Thanks for the heads up Dee-dee. I was worried as most of these 'makeover/photoshoots' are scams! Was it from the same studio.... moments preserved?!

Hi Beth,

I got the same voicemail message left on my phone today. As I dont really enter makeover comps I thought it was a bit strange. After some investigation I found a comp listed on here from Informed women for a Jimmi Choo handbag, and reckon they probably just used my details from that comp.

OMG I just had a phone call telling me exactly the same thing, I know I wouldn't have entered that kind of comp. It was in Scotland, and I wouldn't have entered something like that unless it involved a Hotel stay. But she had my mobile number. entered the Jimmy choo comp to and went to unsubscribe from their mailing list yesterday

I had a call from them today, I told the lady that as i live in Somerset it's a very long way to go but i do have family there ! She did tell me that i can give it to them, the prize includes, Hair, make up, Photo shoot and a framed Print of my choice. If anyone from the family does go I'll let you know the outcome.

Me too - I was dubious as well as hate having my photo taken so wondered why on earth I'd entered.. !

Can't believe they've used our details in this way though, that's a bit naughty isn't it?

I've just had a phone call from the same company. Saying I was a runner up. When I told the women "I didn't enter any competition for this makeover comp" she was a great actress and geunine sounded shocked.

I got the same voicemail message and looked up Stockbridge as she spoke quite quietly. There is one in Edinburgh and one in Hampshire but I couldn't find the comp listed. I also entered the Jimmy Choo comp and am a bit cross as I always say I don't do marketing calls.
