vcr recording

in Techie Stuff
have managed to set my vcr up to record off cable that works fine .can also record all channels when cable is switched off except itv..anyone know how i resolve this problem

By cable do you mean free-view or sky?
If the cable is switched off you'll not be recording the digital signal. So I can only assume its recording the anaolog signal. (which will be turned off soon 2011-2012)
The VCR needs to be set up to record the ITV anaolog signal. Not done this is years so you'll have to read your video instructions as to how.0
