CJSA, IJSA, Joint or individual claim?

My uncle is being made redundant. He is entitled to Contribution JSA as he has worked enough. His wife has not worked enough to claim CJSA. When claiming, does my uncle and aunt sign on as a joint claim for CJSA, tho she's hasn't worked enough. Or do they sign on seperately, he contribution, she income. If they do sign on for a joint claim, would my aunt have to go to the job centre to sign on with my uncle?

If there is an income based element to the claim then it will be a jointly.

Both claimants are equally responsible for the claim so, yes, your aunt will have to attend
