Please could someone one take pitty on me ? I don't know which one is more ill... my computer or me :(
I'm sat here with me waterbottle trying to fix this thing !
I'm running windows 98 and cannot change my display properties from 16 colours & 640 x 480 to anything else.
I'm aware of the usual proceedures to fix this but nothing seems to work.
My driver is apparently the 'best available' for Rage Pro Turbo AGP.
Thanks in advance.

If you have only got a Windows 98 driver installed (Standard VGA for example) but Windows cannot automatically locate a better one then it will proclaim it as the best available (even though it is not correct)
Try downloading the correct driver from the manufacturers website and installing that.0 -
Thanks for your reply Godders.
I've visited https://www.ati.com but cannot find the drivers to download, only that they are available on disc ? !
Am I looking in the wrong place ?0 -
alternatively try here
Driverguide site is very useful for hard to find drivers, especially those for older machines. The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0 -
