Scary blue screen on windows Vista

Options
Hi All

Ok...this doesn't happen to me...only when OH is on the PC...anyways...
The last few days, he's been happily mosying round the web when all of a sudden the screen goes blue and says something about "check all recently installed hardware blah blah blah"
We're running Vista.

The only thing that's changed is he downloaded a trial of world of warcraft on Saturday evening and shortly after, this started happening.

We've also got it on the laptop, and it's working fine...however (and this is just my possibly logical way of thinking) - the graphics on the laptop are better than the pc because it's newer. Could warcraft be causing the computer to crash because it needs better graphics? - although it crashed last night when he was on ebay.

I've run registry cleaner, spyware and virus scans with no problems reported.
Any ideas?
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)

It's an error message. To diagnose the cause of the problem, we need to know precisely what it says. If you can't remember, go to StartControl PanelProblem Reports and SolutionsView problem history and look it up.

possibly, but i'd guess that the PC has the more powerful card as it doesnt have the space/heat/processing constraints of the laptop.
  • thing is...the laptop runs the game alot easier...the PC has more RAM but an older card and the game runs as if it's on an old Amiga A580 lol
