What the hell is happening

I have not been frequenting the board as much as I used to largly due to the abuse that noobies dished out to established members but what is going on with the boards..

The shop but dont drop board has 15 posts on the first page that are absolute rubbish... Theres even one with someone moaning he got asked for ID to buy a lottery ticket and a whole load of "I want to buy...." topics.

Looks like this board is going to be complete mayhem come closer to christmas when the first 5 pages of every popular board will be full of "Iwant..." posts and "Dont buy from...", "Where do I get..."

Anybody remember the good old days when you could go to the boards and find a deal...*sigh*

Well it is the internets, And anyone can internets these days. Oh and its not just n00bs who dish out abuse.

I find some new posters come on and ask for help and never come back

I agree abuse can come from new posters as well as old posters too

my apologies , seems my post on the nintendo ds lites comes under your complaint, thought that was what the forum was for?

not surprised new posters arent coming back. this post doesnt exactly come across as being "friendly" to new posters.
i posted on this forum yesterday and felt some of the replies were a bit "off"

The forum is for that but the topic directly below the one you posted in is titled "I wanna buy-it or do-it". as you were asking for advice on BUYING then that would be the correct forum. Shop but dont drop is for long term bargains rather than the short buy it now ones and definately not requests.

As for people seeming unfriendly its because of attitude. MANY times I have seen people blatantly post in the wrong forum and a long term member or someone who has thousands of thanks tell them and then the original OP starts to abuse them. I give up with this now and just report posts to the mods now as these people only do it as these are the most popular boards.

Dont get me wrong, the ones who reply to these people and give them the advise they want are as bad as anybody else coming on the board sees this and thinks its OK and with christmas coming the boards will be a mess again like last year..

It will be hard to spot the bargains with constant requests and moans as well as the traditional spam we get hit with
