comparison websites include standing charge ?
do the comparison websites include quarterly standing charges in their calculations ?
a couple of sites indicate if I switch from E.On to nPower or Edf I'll save £130+. But my current tariff doesn't have a quarterly standing charge whereas the new ones would.
Many thanks.
Kevin

Yes they do.
Customers who have 'no standing charge account' pay the equivalent amount by being charged more for the first x number of units. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Often suppliers will offer two versions of a product, one with a standing charge and one without (sometimes denoted NSC - No Standing Charge)
As penrhyn has noted, often for someone on a normal consumption the cost is equivalent and they only differ for someone consuming an abnormally low amount where a NSC product would be cheaper0
