Sammy - thanks, i'll contact the credits peeps and let them know that I'm now on SMP alone!

In other financial news I'm going to ask the bank to give me a £2k overdraft so that I have a potential £500 each month to dip into if we need to. Am hoping we don't need to but I think I'd be reassured if we had a cushion of some sort!!! I was going to just pop anything and everything onto the visa card but I think the interest rate on the overdraft is better (if I'm really savvy, I'll pop it onto visa first, get 50+ days interest free and then dip into overdraft to pay visa off:D)

I have a serious question for you all ;): Is a laptop/netbook a necessary expense??? (if not, can I wangle it as a serious expense so I can get one so I can be in the same room as Wayne whilst surfing?)

Cat personally I think its an unecessary spend if you seriously can't afford it and it will come from the overdraft.

My head knows this... I know that a laptop/netbook is a want rather than a need! Never mind.... I'll treat myself to one in the January sales when they'll be cheaper (hopefully)!

You could get one as a 'back to work' treat Cat?
