    Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon everyone,

Bit of a late start for me today - the joiner was supposed to come this morning to fit the new living room door in the flat but he phoned and said he was in bed with the flu. Why he couldn't phone me earlier I don't know but it meant I was an hour and a half late for work for no reason...sigh.

Apart from that, it's the day before payday and for the first time ever I think, I have planned how much money is left in my account. In fact I have just transferred my last £5.11 onto my virgin card and left £5 in my account for my overdraft...yipee! :j

    So my list for today:
    • [STRIKE] Breakfast at home
    • Lunch from storecupboard
    • Update signature with new total[/STRIKE] :D
    • Washing on (MUST do this - please shout if I don't!)
    • Make up 1 hour of time from this morning (I'll do the rest tomorrow)
    • Ironing
    • Drive carefully to make petrol last till tomorrow (payday)
    • Count out money in jar and see how much I can pay into bank tomorrow
    • Riding lesson tonight (v. excited!) - OH paying as a treat!
Think that's it - have a good Tuesday all xx
LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.

  • Hi everybody,
I am having a productive day
-phoned insurance and arranged for money they owe me to be paid into my bank account
    - phoned boots regarding 1200 missing points from my account, they have swiftly credited them back (I am thinking along the lines of christmas shopping)
    - phoned insurance threatening to cancel, (wouldnt have done) they offerred me a £15 voucher to stay (I was intending to) and am also thinking christmas present budget
    - need to phone another bank and close the account, which will be a cheque for another £15 or so I have in there (christmas present budget too)
    - write a list of my christmas presents I need to buy, some of them I have (can you tell I am planning ahead while I am on sick leave?)
    - sorted some paperwork out, including insuring my credit cards etc against fraud, sent company new card details
    - checked my online bankings, not good but at least I am aware and can work on it
    - done some laundry with some vinegar!!! My fave MSE tip, smells and feels beautiful and is very clean
    - sitting on a wheatbag for warmth
    - will do a bit of tidying up later
    - hopefully while I am inspired I will do some ebaying

    phew, thats it for now!
  • Waves to Painted lady - you are having a productive day!

Nice to see you shimmering SM

Does your mum watch Dvd's and has access to a DVD player - wondered if you could put her together a collection of some of her favourite things in a peeide dvd fabric case thing? Wouldnt weigh much and might be a 'taste of home' if she needed it?

Or a 'light pair of pj's' for being away?

    Today I have done -

    1. Scratches 50p + 10p, nearly enough to withdraw on both again :)
    2. Clicks, and redeemed £16 :)
    3. Emailed a magazine subscription company at the weekend, I paid £34 last year for a 12 month subscription for my mums birthday and have seen 12 months for £24.99 with a different company so I asked them if they could match it this year or i'm off to the other company. They have replied saying they will match it.
