Tues 29th Sept - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning folks
Hope all's well today - Sophiesmum, lovely to see you back...if you'd like your thread back for you to start again, just say!!
Fay - hope the laptop comes soon, I know what the waiting's like:rotfl:
Looks like a lovely day here on it's way - cear blue skies and not that cold - so short sleeves and thin 3/4 sleeved cardi for me
Anyway, must crack on - here's today's list:

Morning All
Thanks for starting the thread today Milly, Mogchops – the fairy cakes sound lovely….did you want my address to post one to me?
Thanks to Katy and Dawn for asking…..I am making a pair of Linen trousers – the same type as I bought in Next for £20 but cost £12 for the material (excluding the £120 I have spent on the course and bits etc)
Hello to everyone else who posts today. Hugs to those that need them – although I think I could do with one at the moment…..
Last week I thought it was a bit strange crying at Neighbours the one after the death when all the family were reacting/wondering how they would cope (it bought back memories of my dad, who died 5 years ago in December)….then a couple of hours later I was saying how stupid I was for getting upset then it happened again
And then on the way to work yesterday morning I had news that my Nan had collapsed at home (found by her carer thank goodness). I got really upset (proper crying etc, some would call hysterical) – she is in hosp and doing fine.
Anyhow, it turns out that I am hormonal….2nd kind of period in as many months – it is a bit bitter sweet I am happy that things might be settling down, but it means pain and more moodiness. Must tell hubby!
Anyhow, today I have/will:
• Checked online banking – bill day tomorrow so moved money over from savings account
• Meals from storecupboards
• Have an LSD – I need to buy a bus pass but this is budgeted for
• While I am on the internet catch up on the forum from yesterday
• Put spare change in my coke bottle saving’s pot
• Apply for any interesting jobs
• Go to college tonight and take a flask of proper coffee with us
Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

Hello everyone :hello:
I'm back after a few days of entering end of month competitions in my spare time! Definately worth it I find as often winning things and they all help the DFW challenge! On that note I have won something which I will keep for DH as a Christmas pressie! On the other note had some v depressing news yest and feeling quite blue as a result but got to stay positive so come on here for virtual hugs!
Am aiming to try and pay another £1000 off cc by Christmas alongside DH payments so am going to keep a record of that rather than the monthly challenge. Really determined to get CC we are paying off at the moment done by end of year!- [STRIKE]Daily scratchcards[/STRIKE] - 35p
