Citi Visa Platinum - Cashback withdrawn

Just got a letter from Citi today stating that cashback on my Visa card is being withdrawn from 30th October.
This is not the Shell card, it is the normal Citi Visa Platinum card from around 2005 currently paying 1% cashback on all spend up to £3000 per month.
To continue getting cashback they recommend applying for an Egg Money card. I think I'll stick to Capital One World Mastercard (1%, unlimited, no monthly fee) at least until they follow suit.
