Help - Roof bars and rack for bikes
Help - I don't really know what I want and how much it would cost. Basically, I have a new shape Ford Mondeo estate with roof rails. We (as a family) want to be able to take 4 bikes on holiday with us. I don't have any roof bars as yet, but thought the best option would be to place the bikes on the roof as this would allow us plenty of room inside, and easy access to the boot.
What do I need and how much would I expect to pay?
Any help would be appreciated. I have looked here but am a bit confused. Price may be an issue so something which does the job will do. It doesn't need to be the best make.
Thanks

Try there you can put in your cars details and it will tell you everything you need.
I have used them before, they sometimes have returns for a few pounds less, I have bought them with no problems.
I have used bars and roof carriers for a while and apart from a towbar mounted carrier i think they are the best way to carry bikes.
A bit awkward to get 4 on though as 2 of them will be towards the middle of the car, you may need to use steps.
Expect to pay about £100 for bars and feet (from memory) and then from £20 upwards for carriers, I use the thule 530 that are quick release, they have a rrp of about £45 each but can be found for about £35 each if you search around.0
