Credit Report Query: I Don't Understand Mine

Hello All,
I have just received my statutory credit reports from both Equifax and Experian, and I just wanted to know why the 2 look so different.
Experian
This is a 9 page report, and is extremely comprehensive and accurate. I can see every single credit account I have, all the searches done on me, and linked addresses. In short, it is how I would expect a credit report to look like.
Equifax
Now, this report is just 2 pages long and contains hardly any information. The sections are:
- Alias Information
- Linked Addresses
- Search Information
The search information includes only a handful of entries, and unlike my Experian report there are no searches from any of my credit providers. My credit accounts are also not listed.
I am just wondering if this is normal? Equifax seem to have very little information on me. Further, it shows a search from Barclaycard, and this relates to a credit card which I was rejected for. At that time, I thought it very strange that Barclaycard rejected me, considering that I was accepted by Amex in the same year and have never had problems obtaining credit.
Would appreciate any suggestions on why my 2 reports look so different, and whether my Equifax one could be erroneous.
Thank you very much for any help provided.

Different companys use not always the same cra's , barclaycard could of rejected you due to your lack of credit on equifax.
Could be worth checking your address is exactly the same as most banks report to all the cra's , try get a catalogue just tempory to give you some history with equifax.0 -
My equifax report is massive, so I'd do what pnpsuknet suggests0

We cannot be absolutely certain which credit card providers search a particular agency's files (lenders do not disclose this information), but anecdotal evidence suggests most use Experian, so that one matters more. That said, Barclaycard uses Equifax, evidently.Would appreciate any suggestions on ... whether my Equifax one could be erroneous.
I would pay particular attention to the essentials (like your address and electoral status, for instance) and check that all items shown are recorded accurately.
The fact that none of your accounts is listed may simply reflect the fact that fewer lenders report to Equifax than Experian.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
