Hey guys,

I saw this and thought about applying. The issue is a couple of months old but I couldn't find any old threads relating to it. Just wondering if anyone has any bad experiences or difficulties in opening this type of account with them.

I am looking for a 2nd place to squirrel away 50k. Already gone with NR. They must be fairly safe, they are part of Lloyds.

So, anyone care to talk me out of it before the end of this week???

I think they were a building society when I last saved with them, so don't know!

They're right up there in the Moneyfacts best buy table. Chelsea and a couple of others are paying more though.

Part government owned, so should be ok, but weighed down by the dodgy Bank of Scotland corporate lending book.

Seems fine to me.

Saga do 18 months at 3.65% if you're over 50.

Not keen on them, there was news on them having lots of dodgy buy-to-let mortgages.
