I would firstly apologise for this being a long post.
I have a Samsung plasma 42" TV bought from Argos end of March this year. My aerial lead goes into a BT Vision box then into a Sagem Digital recorder and then into the TV. There is an HDMI lead from the Vision box to the TV, there is an HDMI lead from the Sagem box to the TV, I also have a Nintendo Wii which is connected via Scart and a DVD player with another HDMI lead into the TV, The Wii and DVD are very rarely used.
We always watch TV either through the BT Vision box or the Sagem.
About 3 weeks ago after watching for about 30 minutes the sound started breaking up, gradually getting worse until it went completely. This happened on both the Sagem and BT box. Our Aerial is 10 years old so we had a new one installed (on the roof and we are in sight of the transmitter).
The engineer checked strength and it was excellent. The Sagem and BT box both show Aerial Strength 100% and Aerial quality 100%.
The problem continued.
I swapped the Vision box and Sagem box around and this made no differance. I retuned them (first with no aerial plugged in and then with aerial plugged in).
The problem continued.
I bought a new HDMI lead and also took one off the kids Xbox 360 upstairs and swapped the inputs on the TV around.
The problem continued.
Today I have sent my TV away (for repair ) and they lent me an old CRT TV. I dug out some old scart leads and plugged the Sagem and Vision box in and believe it or not we have the same problem.
I am honestly at my wits end. I have changed everything I can.
Please advise any suggestions. Thank you
