Hi
I am in the market for a in car dab and mp3 player.
I am a big fan of Dab radio as I used to listen to a lot of MW (talk sport, radio 5, asian network) and once you have dab its difficult to go back.
If anyones read my previous post I just brought an additional car and have been having issues with the MW reception so have thought it time to get a dab radio. The one I had previously was a Sony 6650 model which I thought was great, it was decently priced I thought for a mp3 and dabs radio with aerial.
It seems that model is hard to find and the only alternative manufacturer is JVC.
Now I brought my previous player a few years back and I am really suprised that not other manufacturers have followed suit.I would have thought with the uptake in dab radio in the home there would have been lots of models for in car entertainment.
I am just thinking I must be missing something here. Has dab fallen off the radar? is dab being replaced with a new replacement technology?
If someone could help me out here or if anyone know where I might be able to get a good dab/mp3/usb radio including fitting, it would be really helpful for me.
I would rather not go with JVC, I have had issues with them in the past.

i had an add on DAB radio system, i used it for a while, its added to your existing radio with a seperate display mounted to the dash or windscreen,almost like a small satnav.i got this from argos with free fitting.
or theres this one on ebay?

What car do you have? Lots of Vauxhalls have DAB radio's as standard...0

I have a Ford Focus 1.8 tdci Zetec Climate 06 reg. I doubt dab will be available on Fords unless you have a top spec model0

Well I have managed to get a second hand dab in car tuner from ebay and wanted to know how I go about changing the current aerial to a DAB aerial.
Can anyone advise me on this? I intend to install the head unit myself but seems like a challenge installing an aerial.
