Last week I sent the letter I found on this forum to reclaim mis-sold PPI. I have received a reply today from MBNA thanking for my letter, they are looking into my claim. They will respond again within 28 days. My question is: Is this good news? From other posts I have read some people get refused straight away.

like previous poster says, anyone's guess, but i got a letter saying i'd hear within 28days, i got a phone call after 10, then a full refund. keeps your fingers crossed!0

In my case with MBNA I received a similar letter to you, then (only slightly) after 28 days were up I got a letter saying they were refunding me, then a cheque arrived about 2 weeks after this.
