Hi all

I've just installed the latest version of CCleaner (thanks to the FileHippo Update Checker).
Also on there was a program called PC Optimizer Pro. I've instaled it and it's doing a scan and it says it found 1460 problems in the registry, which are :-
COM/ActiveX - 10
Software Locations - 6
Deep Scan - 298
Empty Keys - 1101
File Extensions - 19
Custom Controls - 26

Anyone any news on this program? All the reviews seem to say it's OK, but I'd prefer someone on here to give me a heads-up.

    CCleaners main purpose is cleaning up files not the registry.

    I see - Eusing just found 1385 problems. Is it safe to just click fix?

    ::edit::

    Just done a full back-up of the registry (243MB) and hit fix.
    At least if it all goes belly-up, I should be able to restore the registry.

    Cleaning the registry of useless keys can speed things up especially if its never been done, every days a waste of time.
