I have been working out a meal plan for this week. I seem to have loads in and so it is mostly made up of fruit and veg, some bread flour and stuff for lunchboxes. My mum gave me some vouchers the other day so I plan to buy a cheap handblender so I can do homemade soups without having to get the big food processor out, should encourage me to take soups to work for lunches. I can't believe how much the tinned stuff is going up in price and that's just Asda's own!

    Afternoon all

Have just done the second weeks shop for this months GC have spent total of £83.50 in MrA's and butchers today, so total for month is £159.51. Have meal planned for next week but freezer is starting to look a bit bare so will need to visit Trade Butchers at some point this month. Still sticking with the diet and have now lost 1 stone 8lb - am completely focused still much to my amazement - just want to get the job done! Feel so much better in myself so don't want to blow all the hard work (also have a big birthday in Jan 2010 really have a major mental problem with being fat and f****) just think if I'm fat then there's no hope! Has been a bit of a balancing act trying to eat good lo cal meals and sticking with budget - haven't really seen that much of a reduction in the shop bill, if anything seems to be a bit more expensive.
Thanks to everyone who upkeeps the boards you do a grand job!
Keep safe and well everyone, have a great weekend.

Hi everyone, Budgets done up to and including Aprilshowers

Please holler if I have missed you or have spelt your name wrong

Welcome and hi to all the new people, if you need inspiration then look at the recipes on page 1 - wonderful recipes - and please ask anything you want to, there are lots of clever people on here who can help.

Been to L!dls again this morning and bought joints of meat - they are half price at the mo and all go by lunchtime, spent £13.48 on the joints but am justifying this by the half price offer and the fact that I love Beef but we don't have it cos of the price, so, we have 5 joints now that will last a few months as we will spread out usage to make the most of them [1 joint a month]. Off to update siggy now

Have fun everyone, see you later, Helen x

    Hello everyone

My new target for this month is £170 please. The OH has discovered Aldi/ Lidl and last month our food spend dropped by over 20 quid.

The best thing of all is that HE thinks it is his idea to shop in Aldi/Lidl - as he likes looking in the baskets for cheap cycling stuff. It was just too easy to grab a trolley and do the weekly shop at the same time.

Hoping to drop further if OH keeps this up!

    progress at last!
