    Hello and welcome.;)

For more information on reclaiming, check this link here below, which includes guidelines of reclaiming and template letters:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

For the 2 with Barclays, if you were mis sold for the same reasons then you can write on the same letter for that one, just remember to write both account numbers and of course you then have a separate one to write for the other bank.

They have 8 weeks to respond in full

You need to keep at them until they respond in your favour, or until they issue you with the final decision, which should also enclose details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you should be able to take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.

Do not worry about writing the amounts, you can use the templates in the above link if you want to - or as a guide with your own words and obviously write your own reasons.

Best to post by recorded delivery.....this is your proof of posting.

Many have been successful reclaiming as far back as the late 90's.

    Go for it, good luck.;)

Please keep us posted and ask for more help if required.

If your only reason is that you were self employed then I would 100% check you were not covered as some PPI's actually cover self employment if you are paying class 2 NI.
  • Just some constuctive criticism for future reference....some punctuation would really make your post easier to read...;)

And I agree with Marshallka, you may actually be covered by the policies.
