I've been with them about 30 years never moved and occasionally had other cards to get some sort of special offer however for about past 15 years only had barclaycard which I pay off in full every month. My sister says I'm mad and should get move to another card to get money off etc she has an M and S one and got £40 vouchers the other day. Is there somewhere you can look to get best deals as in savings accounts please? thanks

What card do you currently have with barclaycard?

go on barclaycard.co.uk and see if there are any offers you are elligable for under the bit for customers who already got a barclaycard.

Ring them up and say you want to cancel - I got £25 a month for half a year doing this ;-)

Barclaycard do a cashback card - not overly generous amounts but still worth having

thanks for all your replies - I should have checked back before I spent over £600 on a new washing machine mind you I couldn't have waited to get a new card as it's conked out.
  • Hi, can anyone help me: my mum is nearly 80 (Bless her), and has had a Barclaycard for years, she is retired pays her balance off each month and I wanted to get her a credit card that rewarded her in some way. But as she don't work it's impossible to apply for anything, does anyone know of a credit card that fits the bill?

Your mum doesn't work, but presumably she has a pension or income of some kind.

I have Barclaycard Cashback card, which rebates 1% of eligible spend. Perhaps B'card would allow her to switch to this card ;)
