When you need it fast

A recent experience led me to agree that if you buy something off the internet and you like to have it with you ASAP, ebay is one of the best places to go to.

When using Paypal most sellers (and I say most) send me the items the next day or even the same day, many recycle their packing materials which is highly regarded.

This is not the case with many online shops where order proccesing and delivery can take up to a week.

So do you agree with me that when you need it fast (and cheap) one should always try ebay as the first place?

How is your experience? well I am a happy client :)

I ship all my paypal paid for items within 1 working day, which as you say compares very nicely with most shops. I have waited 3 weeks before now to get something from Amazon!

I agree too! I have bought loads from ebay and haven't yet had a problem! I also sell quite a bit and always post out within 24 hours of payment. I recycle packaging which also keeps the p&p costs down!

the only problem is that many online shops are large retailers and have probably thousands of orders a day compared to your average ebayer (as an ebayer myself i might post upto 8 items a day - usually dispatch within 1 day of cleared payment).

And also many online retailers offer next day delivery for an extra charge - probably because their order proccessing takes so long due to volumes of orders

  • In all my amazon book listings I state that I post on the day of purchase by 1st class post but I still get emails the next day with the buyer saying that they are amazed that the book arrived so quickly, less than, in some cases, 16 hours after the purchase - they just don't believe it can be done.

I would normally agree with you.....

however just this month bought something paid within minutes of auction and then waited a week. I emailed and got usual feeble excuse of flu and I got it 2 weeks after buying.

Now I whilst I send everything same/next day, I dont expect everyone to. (Its easy for me). I thought 2 weeks was a bit much.

I probably would not have noticed if I had not NEEDED the item!!

I recently had an item that was posted 2nd class 10 days after I'd won it!

But then I had something I won late night Thursday, and it arrives saturday!
