SAHM to toddlers - what do you do for exercise?

Hi
I have found that walking up the school 3 times a day (20 - 30mins each way depending on which kids I have with me!!) is helping me lose a bit of weight. I also try to take the dog for a jog either before kids get up or whilst oldest 2 are at school/nursery or in evening. Also I did go through a stage of putting my dance party on the wii when youngest was in bed so older 2 danced with me. I did once put on an exercise game on the wii with my oldest watching but got fed up of all the 'keep going mummy' and 'dont give up mummy' whilst he was sat there laughing at me and eating chocolate!!! :P0 -
or you could just stick some music on and you all have a good old boogie around the living room.0

I'm a part time SAHM (work mornings) to three children.
We normally take the dog for a long walk after lunch, which helps me and it helps my toddler wind down ready for her afternoon nap.
I've got Wii Active that I've been doing. I sometimes do that in the afternoons either during her nap, while tea is cooking if it's something like a casserole and steamed veg that can just be left alone, or after the little one has gone to bed. It's a struggle doing it on an evening somtimes - last night I was ready to crash and I really had to force myself to do it, but once I'd finished, I'm pleased I did.
I've also got some home exercise DVD's - mixture of high energy aerobics style work outs through to more calming yoga based ones. I put one of them on depending on my mood.
The first thing you need to do is find the motivation to actually do it at home. That's the hardest part. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I do my exercise bike (sometimes!) Go swimming once a week (well twice but once is with DD so doesn't count as exercise
) I got a bike seat so she can come on my bike with me, and she absolutely loves it, she asks for 'bibe, bibe' all the time. I also do yoga and aerobics video's on youtube, have a look there are loads of full workouts on there (I do yogayak and it's great.) I try to walk as much as poss too, but now DD walks with me it is not really exercise.
Have a look into your local surestart, mine does free gym with a creche, and aerobics with a creche- worth the ask.
I do need to do it a tad more regularly though!0
