Payment delayed? BoS/Halifax

Hi, got a letter from BoS regarding Halifax PPI claim, saying the claim was upheld, and they would contact me to confirm the details of the redress. The letter said that payment should be made within a month (letter received 27th August), and as of todays post, I've heard nothing.
Is there an official set deadline by which they have to make payment, or is it just up to the bank concerned?
Cheers
Bob

I would give them a call and see what they say, Halifax are usually pretty good with payouts.

  • I've tried for the last couple of hours, on the 'direct' number that I was given. It's always engaged, and you can't use ringback either!!

It could be that it is stuck in the post as there is a lot of a backlog around the country.
  • I have money due also from them. I called customer services on 01244 693847

    Hope that helps..

Wrote to them, and got a return call saying that the claim has been approved, passed on to another department (:rotfl:), and there's a backlog. Unfortunately, the guy on the phone couldn't tell me how long the delay will be, because it's not in his department!!!

I'll just have to wait and see.......
