Hiya, I am cleaning again:rolleyes:. Does anyone know how to get water marks off a cream coloured sink,. The marks are behind the gold coloured mixer taps?
I have tried baking soda, also white vinegar.
Thanks...Julie

If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Sorry Julie, I don't know what to suggest!
I have a question of my own though: I left a pair of tweezers on the side of my new, shiny new white sink, and they left a "rust" mark (I think it's rust, it's certainly rust-colour). I tried scrubbing and bleaching (even left a cotton soaked in bleach on the stain for several hours) but the mark is still there and very very unsightly. Surely there must be a way to remove it?0 -
Try white vineger, nail varnish remover. I have just thought of toothpaste so I am off to give it a go!If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Do either of you have access to a steam cleaner? I use mine for everything including cleaning the oven - which is a pretty horrid job and it brings everything up like new!
I've not known it fail at anything yet0 -
Yea! we have a winner. Colgate, scouring sponge and elbow greese and the water mark has gone.
I always think the bathroom says alot about how clean you are.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

julie-d and botany. An old toothbrush is good for getting into awkward places. Have you tried "Bar Keeper's Friend" or if all else fails then strong "surface limescale remover" the one I use is from Waitrose but they'll be others. If I do resort to it I put a little on with old toothbrush and literally stand over it, wait for 30 secs and quickly rinse with cold water. I think the recommended time is 1 min but I always start low and work up to the max time. Careful to avoid the gold taps. It often works when all else fails, especially on baths, basins etc but don't use on enamel.fitzroy0

Slice of lemon juice dipped in salt. It takes all sorts of nasty marks off enamel.Val.0
